Introduction of Naoetsu Higashi junior high school

In 1979(Showa 54), Daini junior high school and Hokura junior high school got together and it was named "Naoetsu Higashi junior high school.
We had our 20th anniversary in 1998 (Heisei 10).
Our school is located in north-east part of Joetsu city; west part of our school area is near to Seki river, north one is near Hokura river and east one is next to Uragawara Village and Sanwa Village.
The students who graduated from Kasugashinden elementary school, Kozaruya elementary school, Kitasuwa elementary school and Hokura elementary school go to Naoetsu Higashi junior high school.

Symbol of school

The symbol of our school is created on the base of "Hi" for Naoetsu Higashi junior high school, and it is shaped "Higashi".
It was and created on June 7th, 1979 (Showa 54) as a symbol of Naoetsu Higashi junior high school that students got together and cooperate each other to improve their own school. It was designed with an image of improvement by youth.

School Song

I hoped that young people would have challenging spirits and they would keep having their love for their home country and natural resources such as Mt.Myoko, Sea of Japan and Seki River. Also, I hoped that they would dream their dream and they would have their hopes. (Words: Mr.Ryuji Tanizawa)

Joetsu has some mountains, sea, field and we have 4 seasons. I respect and appreciate "Mahoroba" that brought me up. I composed this song with my wish that Mr. Tanizawa hoped students to grow up like this song (Composer; Mr. Kanichi Sato)
